Rotimi Amaechi’s comment on the ongoing crisis in the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC has generated lots of reactions from Nigerians, especially his supporters online and lovers of politics.
The unending crisis in the All Progressive Congress has been on a steady increase, this led to the suspension of Adams Oshiomole from being the party’s national chairman, he was removed by a court order on Tuesday last week.
After the removal if the national chairman, more fire was added to the crisis as the party members could not agree to one person to replace the removed national chairman. This has led to the interview of the minister if transport, Rotimi Amaechi.
While speaking during an interview on Tuesday, the former governor of Rivers state now Minister of Transport stated that he has been talking with members of the party concerning the crisis from as far back as 2015 but they keep allowing the same incidents to bring about crisis.
Amaechi in hid reaction said that he had decided to keep quiet and play the ‘sidon look’ (sit down and watch) part in the crisis. He stated that the problem is an internal dynamic of politics and he does not want to get involved for the time being.
His reaction to the crisis has resulted to praises being showered on him by his fans online, few of the comments beneath the reaction of Amaechi to the APC crisis includes,
hummm, sit and watch side or sidon and look. that means he will not mind if the whole structure is brought down or he can go and sleep when the structure is on fire. 🔥 That tells us the type of careless leaders we have in this country. All is about themselves. My advice to the teaming population of our youths is for them not to depend on these sets of leaders we have now. They should take their future into their hands - Form a YOUTH PARTY. you can do it. you have the numbers.
I honor you sir, the man of valor, astute and mettle, your haters would continue to suffer heart attack. I cannot say more than that you are a man with great GRACE... your legacies as a governor of river state remains indelible...the lion has roared. Amaechi has to show true leadership. A leader must tolerate his subjects to be successful. The rivers state APC has really not fair good due to bad leadership and high handedness of the so-called leaders. just my opinion.
