Rest In Peace: Winnie Mahlangu has sadly passed away. A radio personality who became the very first woman the SABC employed permanent as a broadcaster has died. Winnie Mahlangu died Thursday morning in private hospital in Pretoria. She was 87. Her death bought lots of tears in many people's her family also confirmed the news of her death after being sick for some time now.
Winnie Mahlangu was the first women to join the SABC. By that time the apartheid was high and a woman holding a position like working on the radio station was not pretty accepted. But her bravery is recommended, she worked on the station for 30 years.
We wish her to rest in peace, and her family must be at peace because she played her part very well in this world. Her family she left behind will be comforted.
