Dr Fred Matiangi, the Interior and National Coordination Cabinet Secretary, has cautioned government officials against driving Kenyans to political chaos. He has revealed that the recently seen violence in by-elections was planned by politicians. He advised that leaders should lead by example and avoid commiting such offenses.
Matiangi said that political leaders should regard Kenyans and try not to incite anyone to cause unrest or any form of violence in all gatherings.
Talking in Nyamira Sunday evening, the CS said the police service is working to ensure there is peace and nothing will stop them from maintaining law and order. He defended them against allegations that they had neglected to make legal actions against culprits of political chaos in the just completed elections.
He added that there should be honesty and the reality told regards to what occurred. Kenyans have consistently stayed calm and none should cause violence. All those that will be found guilty will face the full force of the law.
