Morning show host and broadcast journalist for Metro TV Randy Abby has questioned Ghana Police Service that why do they treat criminal conduct differently in the country?
Panels on Metro TV good morning Ghana show today, Thursday, 8th July, 2021 were discussing about how Ghana Police Service has been treating criminal conduct in the country in both Politics and football activities when football fans beat match officials at Sunyani sports stadium.
Kwaku Baako Jnr speaking on the issue said he is so worried on how police officers in previous years have not been arresting criminal offenders in football games when they know that, Ghana football association can only sanctions football clubs but can't do prosecution and they (police) can do the prosecutions to serve as example to the general public.
NDC's Kwadwo Twum Boafo also narrated how he was beating in football matches across the country in some particular sports stadium including Sunyani sports stadium where the recent issue arise. Both panelist were not happy about how Ghana Police officers have failed to arrest criminals who caused problems in football matches and in politics when there is a lot of evidence on social media.
Randy Abby who questioned Ghana Police Service told Ghanaians on the show that police have demonstrate to use social media evidence to prosecute people who involved themselves into such Criminal acts but it usually don't end well. He stated that "If people are arrested to police station, it will serve as example for people to stop beating people in sports stadiums and Political grounds. Police treat football and politics issues differently and it is hurting the country for some years now. I think it must end because we're one people".
