A senior senator was and deputy speaker of the upper house was forced to cancel her trip and address after a section of members of County Assembly chased her off. The incident which took a dramatic turn led to the entourage to cu short the scheduled speech that was to be read at the Kericho County Assembly.
According to Tuko.co.ke digital news platform, the deputy speaker and Uasin Gishu County senator Margaret Kamar was denied entry into the chambers by Members of the assembly stating that whoever sent her should know that they are 'hustlers' and have nothing to do with her. The situation almost got out of control prompting her security team to whisk her away from the assembly in high speed.
The MCA's claimed that Kamar is affiliated to 'Kieleweke' side of the political side which they say is intent of ruining William Ruto's political stab at the presidency. No official statement has been released yet by either the senate or assembly on the matter.
