According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has given the green light to sign Borrusia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland. The 20-year-old Norwegian international is highy rated among his peers due to his ability to convert 4 of his 5 chances on goal.
Haaland has scored 17 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches and 32 goals in all competitions. His ability to find the back of the net with regularity has spurred Chelsea and some of the biggest clubs in Europe to enquire about his availability.
Dortmund's sporting director Michel Zorc has reiterated his commitment in keeping the attacker but, a €100m offer will be too big to refuse for a player they signed a season ago from RB Salzburg for just €17m. The Bundesliga giants will prefer to sell him now for €100m rather than lose him next season for €57m.
The Daily Mail reports that Haaland has a €57m release clause which will become active next summer. Dortmund won't wait till next season, they will sell to Chelsea for €100m this summer rather than lose €43m on the highly rated attacker next summer.
