Teacher dies of kidney problem at Agona-Ashanti


Teachers and officers of Sekyere South District Education Directorate woke up to hear of an unpleasant news about one of their colleagues.

A veteran teacher at Agona Islamic Primary School has been called by his maker. The name of the deceased teacher is called Mr Osei Kofi. He was affectionately known as Osoko.

His colleagues at Agona Islamic Primary School recount that, Mr Osei Kofi was diagnosed with kidney disease a few years ago. They further stated that he battled the condition for some time but his condition deteriorated over the weekend.

He was rushed to hospital but he eventually passed on yesterday, Monday 7th May, 2021. His remains has been deposited at the morgue.

Mr Osei Kofi's death is the second time in three months a teacher in Sekyere South has died of kidney disease.

It remains to be seen when teachers will be given insurance packages to cater for conditions such as kidney and cancer related issues.
