1. SIM card that was linked to another person's NIN; candidates who have used a card that belong to their parents, siblings or friend should immediately seek a remedy for it. This was because JAMB has warned candidates against using someone else's card or linked to a different NIN. The moment you discovered that the SIM card has been linked to a different NIN, the exam board will prosecute you for violations.
How to know if a SIM card has been linked to a different NIN;
A. Dial *346# and the owner's information will be sent to you.
B. Download NIMC mobile app to verify the real owner.
2. SIM card that was used already; a card that has been used for JAMB registration is not allowed. Instead use a new one, that was why the exam board introduced '55019'. It's a USSD code that supplies candidate's information through SIM card. so already used card is considered as invalid.
Solution; buy a new SIM card at any certified MTN, Glo, Airtel or 9mobile shop in your area.
3. A SIM card that was barred from network service.
As registrations are ongoing, do not forget to adhere to JAMB guidelines and Covid-19 safety protocols.
