In the past few days, there has been reports that Marumo Gallants star Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo has joined Orlando Pirates ahead of the new season. Ndlondlo, who was a star performer during the Nedbank Cup last season as he helped Gallants win their first trophy in the Premier Soccer League after beating Chippa United 1-0 in the final, has been heavily linked with a move to the Buccaneers.
Gallants have now responded to the reports that Ndlondlo has joined the Buccaneers.
Rufus Matsena, liaison manager at Gallants said that that there is a rumour that Philip Ndlondlo has joined Orlando Pirates. "As a club we need to distance ourselves from such unfounded reports. Ndlodlo is still part of Marumo Gallants FC. Let’s give him a chance to focus on the new season. Apologies fan," he said.
The 25-year-old midfielder won three man-of-the-match awards during the Nedbank Cup and he has been on the Buccaneers radar.
