The Secretary Genera of Kenya African National Union, KANU Nick Salat has broken his silence over the fall out and sideshows being reported in the handshake that resulted to the Building Bridges Initiative drive.
Salat called upon leaders to focus on ensuring that the country's stability is given a priority by shunning down the sideshows that are currently being witnessed concerning the report.
Through his Twitter account, Salat stated that as KANU, they are now determined to help the president in delivering his agenda to Kenyans, and discussion about the 2022's succession will take place at its convenient time.
"The BBI document is beneficial to the country. As Kanu, it should not be a matter of who is president in 2022. What should be of essence is the country’s stability as espoused in the BBI. The sideshows should end so that we get back on track..." he tweeted.
His remarks comes after rumors emerged that the handshake was experiencing turbulence on what the ODM party claimed was government insiders pushing the former prime minister Raila Odinga to the corner.
