Man Aged 38 Years Hacks Step-Mother to Death Over Land Sharing in Kakamega

Sombre mood has engulfed Emachingwe village that is found in Mumias West Sub-county in Kakamega county following the incident where a 38 years old man by the name Amos Makokha stabbed his step mother to death using a kitchen knife.

According to the witness, it's said there was a land dispute between the suspect and his father Mr. Wilson Makokha when it came sharing of a piece of land. It's said a disagreement came when the suspect Mr. Amos wanted a big portion compared to other sons of the family a move that was greatly opposed by his father.

The suspect turned wild against his father stabbing him several times before he descended to his step-mother Mrs. Risper Makokha Nabobwa hacking her to death.

In conclusion, the similar incident happened in Matungu constituency where a man killed his brother over land dispute. The late Risper's body has been taken to the mortuary awaiting for the postermotem before the burial takes place. My heartfelt condolences to the family members and friends of the deceased.
