Anthony Martial is the first United player to score a Premier League hat-trick since Robin van Persie hit three past Aston Villa in April 2013. During that seven-year wait, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic hit trebles in Europe – against Club Brugge and Saint-Etienne, respectively.

Speaking of Rashford, the homegrown hero recorded two assists in a Premier League game for the fourth time in his career – and his first pair of top-flight assists since December 2018 against Fulham.

Martial, Rashford and Mason Greenwood have now scored 50 goals between them this season, with the latter contributing an impressive 12 goals in his first full campaign with the seniors.
