Exclusive: Real Reason Small Doctor Practices Christianity With Islam At Same Time

In this part of the world, there are 2 dominant religions either of which people practice. And that is, religion of Christianity and religion of Islam. So, ordinarily, when you meet people for the first time, and you are trying to get to know them better, there is tendency you would ask them: are you a Christian or a Muslim? Because your expectation is that, they would only practice either of the 2 options. But in some cases, the people may shock you by saying they practice neither of the 2, but are a traditionalist or so, which is still very much in order. Everyone has a freedom of choice, any way.

But in an instance that people tell you, they are Christian and Muslim at the same time, you are likely to start wondering why. At first, you don't want to take them serious, that they must be joking. However, they would get to reiterate it to you time and time again that they are, if truly they are practicing the dual religions together. And that is, interestingly, the case of popular Fuji Afro-Pop artiste, Adekunle Temitope who is better known as Small Doctor.

It would interest you to know that the well talented young man is sitting astride the 2 religions like a man riding a horse with one leg on this side of the saddle, and the other leg on the other side. Yes, he is practicing Christianity and Islam at the same time. And this is how? Those who know Small Doctor very well know would attest to the fact that he is a member of the Celestial Church of Christ Genesis Global, under the leadership of Senior Sheperd-in-Charge, Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe simply referred to as Genesis.

And he is not only a member of the Church where he worships almost every Sunday, he has also been found to be a member of the Church Choir. And that means he is also using his God-given talent to serve God at the Church as an artiste. And in the same vein, Small Doctor who is also very close to a popular Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Jamiu Ajadi who is better known as Ami Olohun, also practices Islamic religion as well. Because apart from organising Ramadan Lectures every year, Small Doctor has also performed Hajj, which he did in 2019, together with Sheikh Ami Olohun.

Interestingly, both of Small Doctor favorite religious leaders in both Islamic and Christianity have a number of things in common. One, they are both youthful. Two, they both operate from the same area which is known as Alakuko, a border town between Lagos and Ogun States. Genesis Church is situated there, and Sheikh Ami Olohun's magnificent house where people go to consult with him spiritually too, is located there. And wait for this, both Genesis and Sheikh Ami Olohun have a very cordial relationship with each other, that you could actually call them friends.

Meanwhile, do you know the real reason why Small Doctor actually practices Islam together with Christianity? Here is the reason. Findings have shown that Small Doctor's dad is a Muslim, who gave him a Muslim name of Sodiq at birth, and his mum who is fond of calling him Temitope, is a Christian, though of Cherubim and Seraphim stock. And like Cherubim and Seraphim, the Celestial Church is also a White Garment Church, so there is actually no fuss about Small Doctor deciding to choose the Celestial Church in doing solidarity with his beloved mum, Iya Teacher, in Christian religion.

This much was gleaned from credible sources at Small Doctor's 2021 Ramadan Lecture which took place on Friday, 7th May, 2021, in Agege, which was massively attended by Small Doctor's fans and friends including Fuji music stars, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Odetola popularly known as Pasuma and Remi Aluko, Islamic music star, Alhaji Kehinde Oriyomi, who was on the band stand, Small Doctor's mum, Iya Teacher, and of course, Sheikh Amin Olohun who was as expected, the Guest Lecturer at the event.

So, if you did not know, now you know the real reason Small Doctor practices Christianity with Islam at the same time. He is of a Muslim dad, and a Christian mum.
