The CS for internal security, Fred Matiang'i has assured Kenyans of safety before and after the oncoming general elections. He said that all measures have been put in place to ensure that the nation remains in order and peace during and after the August polls.
In response to the UDA letter that allegedly claimed that the police officers ignored some forms of political violence caused by rowdy youths at Jacaranda, the CS claimed that none of the complains was reported to any police station in Kenya. He further urged political leaders to check on their decency in political rallies especially while giving promises which may not be truthful.
"We don't have a single report in any of our police stations, the Inspector General is here, of any of those incidence that they list there," Fred Matiang'i said.
"We ask our political leaders to be a bit more decent and more responsible," he added.
