According to Nation newspaper, Secondus has made it clear that he won't withdraw his case in court despite the pressure been mounted on him by some PDP stakeholders to do so.
The Rivers State born politician is not happy that some individuals in the party pushed him out of office in a manner that is against the constitution of the PDP.
Why is Secondus optimistic the Appeal Court will restore him as PDP Chairman?

The constitution of the PDP made it clear how the National Chairman of the party should be removed. It is only the NEC of the party that can remove the National Chairman of the PDP. That was not the case with Secondus.
That's why he is relying heavily on the PDP constitution to enforce his rights as a member of the party. It is also important to note that the same PDP constitution made it clear that NWC members of the party are entitled to complete their 4 years tenure and also seek re-election.
Secondus tenure will expire in December but the party has an Acting National Chairman who called for a NEC meeting where the convention of the party was discussed.
The Appeal Court may rely on the constitution of the PDP to give its judgment which reports states will take place before the National Convention of the party.

If Secondus gets a favorable judgment, it may mean that all activities of the party in his absence as an elected National Chairman may be null and void.
This is why David Mark pleaded with Wike many times to opt for out-of-court settlement so that the party won't have any issues before the convention.
