Beneficiaries of the R350 Social Relief of Distress award who were collecting their R350s at the post office received terrible news from the South African Post Office.
It has been announced that due to an increase in criminality, post offices would no longer issue payments to R350 recipients.
Those who previously collected their money at the post office can now do it in retail establishments such as ShopRite, ShopRite Usave, Pick n Pay, Checkers, and others, according to the spokeswoman.
He went on to say that individuals who have reapplied might choose to use the cash collection alternatives as well.
Even while it may appear to some to be a pain, it is for the better since our elderly will no longer spend lengthy hours standing in lines at stores or at the post office. So this is fantastic for them.
