This opulent and amazing university is called The University of Nairobi. It is strategically located in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) along Uhuru and Waiyaki Highway, Nairobi County. The institution is currently under the leadership of vice chancellor Professor Stephen Kiama and chancellor Dr. Vijoo Rattansi. It is not only a powerhouse of academic excellence and research but also a home of talents by producing one of the best reknown athletes in Kenya, Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala.
It consists of 10 faculties offering a cutting edge teaching and research system that produces well baked graduates that are equipped for the job market. The institution traces back its establishment in 1956 as the Royal Technical College. At that time, it was the only institution in Kenya to admit the first cohort of A-level graduates with a focus in technical courses. It has seen tremendous growth by accommodating more students for academic purposes and exposure to the work environment. It boasts of its 17-storied building that has an helipad on top of it. The building offers serene environment for learning, entertainment and work purposes with a panaromic view of the city. It offers some of the best courses globally with an aim of making the world a better place.
