Following the insecurity roaming around the Ikwo people of Ebonyi State, the executive chairman of Ikwo local government area by the name, Elder Hon. Stephen orogwu have made a great move in chasing out Fulani herdsmen and their cows which according to reports is up to 10,000 cows out of their community in an effort to secure the life's and properties of his people.
The chairman mobilized several armed military men and policemen to help in the movement. This happened last night and this morning according to reports from a popular news page on Facebook by the name Igbere TV, information got it that the herdsmen remained at the borders between Ikwo people and Abakaliki LGA at Ndiova Alike Ikwo.
The information on reaching the chairman, he went there with armed policemen to further demand that the Fulani's herdsmen leaves the location immediately. The Ikwo chairman further called the chairman of Abakaliki LGA, Hon. Emmanuel Nwangele about herdsmen in his town.
This is happening days after uncountable cows and their herdsmen outrun the villagers in their town injuring many villagers. The representative in the village immediately reached out to their chairman who made a serious move immediately to ensure the safety of his people.
