A family in Mombasa has come out and accused Mike Mbuvi Sonko for visiting a grave he claimed to be his mother's saying he visited a wrong grave. According to the reports aired by one of the local televisions in Kenya, Sonko who is eyeing for Mombasa gubernatorial seat visited a graveyard with WIPER party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and placed flowers on a grave he claimed to be his mother's.
"Why visit a grave that does not belong to your relative? Our mother died 7 years ago and we buried her here. Even you Kalonzo, you've involved yourself in this? I leave it to Allah," said one of the family members. Sonko's visit to the graveyard in Mombasa was to show that he is a Mombasa resident. "Wale wanasema Ati Sonko so wa Mombasa, wanafaa wajue Ivo. Jana tulitembea mahali alizika mama yake. (For those who doubt that Sink isn't a Mombasa resident should erase that since yesterday we visited where he laid his mother," said Kalonzo during sonko campaigns in Mombasa.
It has remained a riddle as now Mombasa residents get confused for not knowing whose mother between Sonko and the claiming family is buried where Sonko and his party leader visited on Friday.
