Agbeli/Bankye Kaklo is a crunchy savoury snack.
Agbeli/Bankye Kaklo (Cassava Croquettes)
The recipe is very simple and has minimal ingredients, yet very tasty.
Cassava - 2-3 Medium size
Onion – 1 Medium size
Green Chilly - 1-2
Cooking oil
Salt as per taste
Fresh coconut, sliced or grated into thin shavings
Wash and peel the cassava, cut each down the center longwise with the goal that you can eliminate the stalky string going through it, cut them into huge pieces. Grind the cassava finely.
Place the ground cassava in a strainer and flush completely in chilly water to eliminate the starch. Pass on to deplete. Presently place the ground cassava in a muslin fabric and crush out all the starch. Pass on to air-dry a little on a plate
In a bowl, add the dried cassava, onion, green chillies hacked and salt. Blend well and make a tight ball by squeezing immovably to keep them bound together.
Profound fry the balls on moderate hotness, turning them discontinuously to equitably cook them. Fry until brilliant brown. Strain off overabundance oil.
Agbeli Kaklo is served hot with dried coconut.
