Former Mandera Central Constituency member of parliamentary Hon Abdikadir Mohammed has weighed after former Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga lectured president Uhuru Kenyatta on matters respecting the rule of law.
CJ Mutunga in a statement decried abuse of the constitutional provisions by the current head of state noting that it had now become a norm for the commander in chief.
Abdikadir in his reaction to Mutunga's remarks has lauded the statement by Willy Mutunga terming it as statesmanship.
The former lawmaker noted that Mutunga's statement to president Uhuru Kenyatta represented the views of majority Kenyans of goodwill.

In his message to president Uhuru Kenyatta CJ Mutunga had challenged the head of state to do the right thing in his remaining term for history to judge him right.

"Mr. President, you bear a burden of history to do the right thing for Kenya's Constitution, her institutions and the general public. Discharge this burden: Simply do the right thing," read part of Willy Mutunga's statement.
