Jubilee nominated MP David Ole Sankok has lightly argued that he would want to be like deputy president Dr William Ruto when he grows up. He said the aforementioned even as he defended the second in command from his 2022 State House race competitors.
While appearing on Citizen TV Live, on Monday morning, Ole Sankok expressed concern over the move by Dr Ruto's presidential rivals to aver that their goal was do defeat the DP.
According to the vocal disability representative in Parliament, the DP's counterparts in other camp lacked tangible agendas and policies which they would market to Kenyans.
He quipped that Dr Ruto had now gained formidability and unchallengeable political clout to extent that his rivals' admiration. In his observation, they were jealous and envious of his sudden rise to fame.
"When I grow up I want to be Dp Ruto," said Sankok.
This comes after a number of 2022 presidential contenders among them Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya chief Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, former prime minister Raila Odinga and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi announced that they would defeat Dr Ruto in 2022 State House race.
At a past Live TV interview, Kalonzo asserted that his only goal was to ensure that he renders the deputy president irrelevant in politics by trouncing him after forming political alliances with other like-minded leaders.
Raila's camp has been determine to ensure that Dr Ruto does not see State House in 2022. They have done so by crafting a number of strategies including convincing president Uhuru Kenyatta and his allies to back the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chief.
Mudavadi has exuded confidence that he would be in ballot next year's presidential election and he would beat all his competitors including the DP.
