Jesus Christ as we all have known since our Sunday school days till date was the ancient colonial name which was translated from Greek Latin into English.

The name Jesus Christ was a translated form of yesu(Yeshua) Cristo which was changed in order for non Latin speaking countries to be able to have learn and know the messiah without difficulties.

Unarguably the. Bible says in Luke that the lord sent angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary mother of the lord who was in the city of Galilee to her he said “ Hail oh favored one for the lord is with you “ .

He said “ Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Yeshua”.

The above verse was taken from the original bible which was published by the father of English biblical studies William tyndale who was the one who gave out his life in translating the Bible to English as we have of today .

The name "Jesus" comes from the Greek method of communicating his name: Ἰησοῦς, which is articulated "Yeysoos".

While we have an English rendition of the Hebrew name for Gabriel, we appear to have wound up with an English adaptation of the Greek variant of the Hebrew name for our Messiah, that doesn't sound close any longer.

It makes him all the less unmistakable to his Jewish brethren. Jesus just sounds so gentile However when Jewish individuals hear his name in Hebrew regularly the lights go on.

The name Yeshua was known and utilized in Jewish history – you can discover men called Yeshua in the move calls of groups serving in the sanctuary (1 Chronicles 24:11, 2 Chronicles 31:15, Ezra 2:2,6,36).

It's a form of Joshua, and it signifies "salvation". This bodes well to Jewish ears.
