Alleged Frustrations & Intimidations To UDA in Rurii Ward As 2 Chief Agents Arrested, Roadblocks Mounted


The UDA party agents in Rurii ward have been allegedly subjected to an optimum frustrations and intimidations from a section of police officers who are monitoring the electoral processes in the ward to enhance safety of the votes and foster peaceful electoral environment.

It has been established that the UDA chief agents Higgins Mbugua and Daniel Githinji have landed in the hands of the police officers for allegedly arriving at the polling station to guard the UDA votes at Rurii polytechnic polling station and currently held at Ol Kalou.

UDA Party secretary general Veronica Maina intimated that the police officers confiscated their phones and other electronic gadgets as the the voting process is ongoing.

At Mugumoini polling station, the UDA chief agents have allegedly been denied entry as their posts have been taken by strangers purporting to the UDA agents. Reports also indicates that roadblocks have been mounted in all Rurii ward entries for allegedly block the entry of the UDA voters to their respective polling stations.

This comes a time when the ODM party secretary general Edwin Sifuna has also decried over police harassment to the ODM chief agent Hon Timothy Bosire in Bonchari constituency, Kisii County.
