The West African Examination Council released the official results of the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination on the 11th of March, 2021. Copies of the results statement have been given to the Heads of Junior High Schools through their respective District Education Directorates.
Reports gathered has it that Headteachers have been asked to analyse the 2020 BECE results and report back to the District Education Directorates. The analysis will be used to rank the various Districts in terms performance.
The West African Examination Council is better equipped to purchase advance software which could be used for the analysis. The ranking could easily be done on school and District basis.
If WAEC does the analysis itself, it (data) will be devoid of errors. Headteachers, and other District Education Officers who do not want to be rediculed for bad performance cannot massage data to favor themselves.
