O'odua Republic: Police disrupt Mega rally in Ibadan, take over venue.

Armed Police Officers on Saturday morning disrupted a planned mega rally in support of the Yoruba self-determination struggle which had been scheduled to take off at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to SaharaReporters, scores of Police officers took over the Hall where the rally was scheduled to begin.

According to the report, the said rally was scheduled to begin at 9am and as at 9:30am policemen were seen conducting a stop and search exercise on passersby along the road linking to the hall.

According to the Invite to the botched rally, the convener was identified as Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, and it was powered by a group known as Ilana Omo Oodua.

There was also to be a world press conference by South ans Middle Belt leaders by 1pm at Ajagungbade Avenue, New Bodija, Ibadan.

Again, Fulani herdsmen invade Benue community, kill 11 persons.

According to reports, suspected Fulani herdsmen have invaded Mbakyondu, a community in Gwer-West Local Government Area of Benue State.

The attack which saw at least 11 people killed, left scores of other residents injured.

According to sources, the attack took place around 4am in the early hours of Saturday, while residents were still fast asleep.

Media Aide to the Local Government Chairman, Mr Samuel Udam, confirmed the incident and disclosed that the recovered bodies of the victims have been deposited in a morgue at Naka, the Local Government headquarters.

He also revealed that some persons were still missing and that security agencies had been deployed to the area to restore normalcy.

Forcing people to take Covid-19 vaccine immoral, illegal - David Oyedepo.

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Worldwide, David Oyedepo has declared that he would not take the Covid-19 vaccine, saying that forcing it on people is immoral.

According to a report by PM News, the Bishop made this statement on Saturday at the church's Hour Of Prayer' program.

According to him, the world is confused and don't know the next thing to do.

Oyedepo noted that he had never seen a generation where people were forced to take vaccine, insisting that it is immoral, inhuman and illegal to do so.

The Bishop disclosed that he would not in anyway take the jab, and that he would not be forced into taking the dose.

Kidnap Kingpin attempts suicide to evade arrest in Taraba State.

Men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps have apprehended 21 year old kidnap Kingpin, Muhammed Gidado, who it was said tried to commit suicide to evade arrest.

The state commandant of the Corps Muhammed Wakshak who paraded the suspect at the Command Headquarters in Jalingo, said Gidado had used sharp objects to slash his throat in a bid to avoid facing the law but was rushed to the Specialist Hospital Jalingo, where he was treated.

Gidado was paraded alongside 5 other cattle rustlers who were arrested at various locations in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect who claimed to be a farmer and cattle herder, said he was lured into the crime due to economic hardship.

He claimed to have witnessed a gang of Fulani men kidnap a victim along the Karim Lamido LGA axis and he was given N500 by the gang.
