While releasing a press statement, KUPPET secretary general said the the ministry should address the uncertainties around the resumption of learning for most classes in Primary and Secondary schools.
He further said that most importantly, the ministry must address the financial constraints in schools ahead of the reopening saying that as at now, the ministry of Education is behind the schedule in the disbursement of funds which has halted most activities in the schools.
He went ahead to say that it is because of the financial constraints that most headteachers and principals are not able to meet their obligations.
KUPPET is also urging the government to address the deficit of teachers saying that it should guarantee that for learning to take place effectively in schools as schools reopen, more teachers should be employed.
