Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper has also broken his silence on the brouhaha surrounding the Achimota Forest. There were varied concerns yesterday that parts of the forest had been sold. This raised eyebrows as to what might have caused this. Later in the day, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor came out with a presser to explain and deflate the allegations.

On Good Morning Ghana today, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 Kwesi Pratt raised concerns about the disadvantages of losing the Achimota Forest He noted that since 20213 he and a number of people have been fighting government’s decision to give out some portions of the Achimota Forest. He called for the need for government to reserve the forest because it is of huge benefit to Greater Accra and Ghana.

Kwesi explained that he doesn’t have a cause to believe that this case is tainted with corruption. He noted that he trusts the government on this matter and can ascertain there is no money and handshakes about the Achimota forest. He expressed that his only worry was regarding the giving out of the peripheral area and other portions which will make the place lose her value and nature.
