Official: Young forward joins Woking on loan

Zach Robinson has been given an opportunity to gain more first-team experience after joining Woking on loan.

The 18-year-old, who is pictured scoring for the Dons in the Papa John's Trophy match versus Brighton earlier this season, has made eight first-team appearances this season.

However, our Head Coach Mark Robinson feels that now is the right time for Zach to gain more experience at a good level in the National League.

"We had Alan Dowson and his assistant Ian Dyer in to visit us at the training ground a couple of weeks ago," said Robbo. "We are keen to build a relationship that will benefit both clubs by loaning them our young talent.

This is how the loan for Zach has come about. It would have been easy and safe to have kept Zach around us in case we had injuries with him playing the odd friendly, but I believe this is where we have to look at the bigger picture.

Chelsea and Everton 'join SIX-team tussle for Torino striker Andrea Belotti

Chelsea and Everton are reportedly in the race to sign Torino's sought-after striker Andrea Belotti.

The Italy international only has one year remaining on his current contract and there has been no movement in talks in recent months.

Belotti has scored regularly in Serie A for the past five years, with his goals this season proving crucial in Torino's fight against relegation.

The striker has scored 12 times to help push Torino five points clear of the drop zone and has attracted significant interest around Europe.

According to Tuttosport, Chelsea, who have previously been linked with a move for Belotti, are one of several teams considering a summer swoop for him.

Thomas Tuchel has thrown down the gauntlet to Timo Werner to try and convince him that he doesn't need more firepower up front amid the German's struggle to improve his awful record of just five goals in the Premier League all season.

But if Tuchel comes to the conclusion that he needs to sign a new striker, Belotti is one who he could make a move for.

'Calvert-Lewin would be a fantastic signing for Man Utd' - Ferdinand urges Red Devils raid on Everton

An England international striker on the books at Goodison Park has been billed as a perfect solution for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by an Old Trafford icon

Manchester United have been urged to launch a summer transfer raid on Everton for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with Rio Ferdinand claiming the England international would be a "fantastic signing" for the Red Devils.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be tempted to dip into the next market for another central striker, with questions being asked at Old Trafford of Edinson Cavani's future and Anthony Martial's ability to fill a No.9 role.

Various targets are being mooted in Manchester, from Harry Kane to Erling Haaland, but Ferdinand believes the perfect solution to any attacking poser could be found on the books of North West neighbours at Goodison Park.

Former United defender Ferdinand has told his FIVE YouTube channel: "Listen, Dominic Calvert-Lewin for me, I love him.

"I’ve watched a lot of Everton this year and he’s one that unnerves defenders. He’s not one you want to play against week in, week out. He’s aggressive, he attacks the ball.

"I was speaking to Carlo Ancelotti earlier this year and he mentioned [Filippo] Inzaghi and said he didn’t need many chances to score goals and he scores goals in and around the six-yard box.

Arsenal make initial approach to sign Jesse Lingard from Man United - report

Arsenal are ready to rival West Ham to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United in the summer, according to a report in England.

The Sun, as quoted by the Daily Mail, is reporting that the Gunners are keeping tabs on the England international following his incredible run of form at West Ham since his loan move to the east London side in January.

The same article states that West Ham are set to try to sign Lingard on a permanent deal at the end of the 2020-21 Premier League campaign following his return of eight goals and three assists in nine games.

According to the same story, Manchester United are hoping to secure a handsome transfer fee for Lingard in the wake of the 28-year-old’s prolific performances under former Red Devils boss David Moyes at West Ham.

The Sun go on to report that Arsenal have opened initial talks with the 20-time English champions about signing Lingard once he’s finished his loan spell at their London rivals.

The article adds that the Gunners may find a deal difficult to manufacture because Manchester United were reluctant to allow Lingard to move to a direct rival on loan in January.

PSG sporting director has not given up on signing Lionel Messi

A report by Telefoot relayed via SPORT, states that Paris Saint Germain are still attentive to Lionel Messi’s situation at Barcelona. The French giants have not yet given up the pursuit to sign the Argentine, but are waiting for clarity on a few renewals before making any moves.

With Messi’s current contract expiring in June, PSG now seems to be the only team that is majorly interested in his services. Manchester City, having come closest to signing him after last season, have now seemingly dropped their pursuit of the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.

PSG’s interest in Lionel Messi is hardly a secret anymore. On multiple occasions now, the staff and players of the Parisiens have publicly extended their desires for Messi to come to France. Director Leonardo had also stated that: “Big players like Messi are always on PSG’s wishlist, but of course, it’s not the moment to talk or dream about it. We’re sitting at the big table, following it closely.”

His former teammate Neymar and even Argentine compatriots Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes have stated that they would like for Messi to join PSG. Lately however, Neymar’s contract situation has been up in the air, with the Brazilian having frozen talks about a renewal, resparking speculation about his own return to Barcelona.

It was later reported that he will end up renewing with the French outfit. His new contract will be a massive deal that runs on till 2026. PSG have reportedly been waiting on clarity on the Neymar and Kylian Mbappe fronts, in order to decide if they should turn their attention to Messi.
