1) Osun Govt Confirms The Resignation Of Oyetola’s aide.
Recently, Gboyega Oyetola confirmed the resignation of Idiat Babalola, who was the commissioner for "Federal Matters" in the state.
The governor also congratulated Babalola on her federal appointment, as Chairman, Governing Council, Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.
Oyetola in his congratulatory message described Babalola’s serving under his administration as a privilege.
Oyetola noted that her contributions to the development of the state were both commendable and appreciated.
2) We will avenge death of our members in South-East – Miyetti Allah.
The "Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association" has vowed to avenge the death of herdsmen in Anambra State.
National Secretary of the association, Engr. Saleh Alhassan, in a statement on Thursday, vowed that Nnamdi Kanu, members of ESN will pay dearly for the mindless massacre of not less than 50 herdsmen recently.
Alhassan said the Igbos have failed to remember that they were saved in the North during the civil war.
He further demanded the government to deal with the destructive elements in South East, even as he applauded security agencies for killing a principal member of the militant group, Commander Ikonso.
3) Declare state of emergency– PDP tells Buhari.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Thursday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on security.
PDP National Executive Council, NEC, made the call while lamenting the state of insecurity in Nigeria.
The party lamented that the spate of insecurity was due to Buhari’s misrule.
PDP NEC, in a series of tweets on the party’s verified Twitter, handle also urged the president to convoke a national conference on security.
4) Shekau Appoints A New Commander.
Recently, the Factional leader of a Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, has appointed Abu Muhammad as the new “Commander of War”, for the faction after killing the former Commander, Abu Fatimah.
"PRNigeria" gathered that Shekau personally shot and killed Abu Fatimah, last week, for allegedly betraying their terrorists’ sect.
However, a source disclosed that two other senior Commanders were also eliminated by the Shekau.
5) "2023 elections may not hold in Nigeria"– Secondus
Recently, Uche Secondus (National Chairman of PDP) expressed fear that the 2023 general elections may not hold.
Secondus said that the 2023 general elections may not hold due the current spate of insecurity in Nigeria.
He spoke at the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, emergency meeting in Abuja.
The PDP National Chairman lamented that the Federal Government has failed to resolve the country’s insecurity challenges.
