Start Baxter Is Still Under Pressure After AmaZulu Draw

News Hub Creator

It was a big match for both sides when AmaZulu hosted Kaizer Chiefs in Durban on Saturday afternoon, with both teams needing the win to turn their tough start to the new season.

However, neither side left the match unhappy as it resulted in a very controversial 1-1 draw that left a bitter taste for AmaZulu and their coach Benni McCarthy.

Luvuyo Memela had opened the scoring for Usuthu in the 48th minute and the team managed to hold on until the 90th minutes, until Chiefs were awarded a penalty that had questions around it. Keagan Dolly then converted the penalty to make it 1-1 at the end.

The match would mean that the pressure is not yet off Stuart Baxter and he will feel the penalty came to his rescue.
