At just 22 years of Age, Three Lions star Marcus Rashford could be forgiven for being in the news for the wrong reasons, he is afterall a very young player and players his age are prone to indulge their youthful impulses.
It is however commendable to note that the selfless United youngster is a beacon of hope and a role model in this Era of prima dona footballers.
At a time when should serve as a reminder that everyone has the ability to make a change.
With the world battling a global Pandemic and premier league football suspended, most of his peers have been playing video games, staying safe and keeping fit, United's no 10 has however done that and more.
Rashford has shown maturity beyond his years on the pitch since breaking into the United first team as an 18yr Old. His compassion, generosity and drive has endeared him to fans and neutrals alike and he has further strengthened his reputation with his philanthropy and activism during the COVID-19 Pandemic and lockdown period.
The striker was out injured before football was suspended, while focusing on his rehab, the striker also made efforts to help those around him and influence government policy.
With a lot of families experiencing hardship, many in positions of power have failed to stand up and be counted, Rashford has helped raise millions for Charity, and most recently is speaking out, demanding that the government to do more to protect vulnerable Children.
The striker has won that Battle with the UK Government approving over a £120M extension to its feeding program for vulnerable children. The Summer Food Fund, will feed approximately 1.3million school children over a six week period this summer.
The Government had previously withdrawn its feeding program for school kids and Marcus Rashford moved to act, writing a letter to the Prime Minister and stating in clear terms that the same gusto applied to fixing the economy should be applied to feeding the UK's future.
The striker was Elated and tweeted his appreciation for the public support his letter got.
Rashford continues to show leadership and as united returns to fighting for a top four finished they will be happy to welcome back a Hero not just to the Club but to vulnerable children all across the country.
