SAPS Brackendownspartners with Community Policing Forum (CPF) and local security companies as part of its #SaferSchools Campaign Members of SAPS Brackendowns embarked on a Safer Schools Campaign and visited a school in Brackenhurst on Wednesday, 19 January 2022; a week into the new academic year.
The police officials were joined by members of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and guards from various local security companies.
Learners were sensitised on the dangers of substance abuse and general safety measures in and around the school environment.
The SAPS members also brought two learners, both aged 18, into custody after narcotics and dagga were found in their possession during the Safer Schools talk; they are now facing charges of possession of drugs.
School environment must be safe place for learning to take place once school is a made to be a place of drugs abuse you must know that we are not going anywhere as a country because the future of a country depends on her youth.
Parents are advised to talk and discipline there children before its too late because a Leaner who lack discipline will be a problem to the society and you at the same time.
