Almost all professional footballers want to play in Europe because of the exposure and value of football on the continent, when they eventually get there, another thing they desire is to win trophies. One Nigerian footballer who left a Lagos-based academy recently just won his first professional trophy in Europe.

In September, FK Žalgiris showed off Adams Olubi who they got from Femmak Academy. The Lithuanian club is Olubi's first professional club and when they beat FK Panevėžys 5-1 in the Lithuanian Cup final, he won his first trophy.

Although Olubi did not feature in the final, he celebrated with his teammates and showed off the trophy on his social media account. This is the 13th time that FK Žalgiris is winning this trophy, they are the biggest club in the country.

When Olubi joined, he said wanted to learn, work hard, score goals, and deliver for the club. He also loves the country and the club because the atmosphere is good, and the people are friendly.

He now knows what winning a trophy in Europe feels like, this should make him love the club more and encourage him to work harder.
