News Hub Creator

With four wins in their last four games, Arsenal are beginning to rediscover the winning mentality they missed very early in the season, one that is making them look like the top team they are. Up next for the Gunners is a trip to the Amex Stadium this weekend where they will take on Brighton and Hove Albion for the ninth time in the Premier league since 1992

Ahead of their encounter this Saturday, take a look at Arsenal's last four visits to Brighton in the top flight and how they fared;

1- Brighton 0 vs 1 Arsenal (29 December 2020)

The last time the Gunners visited the Amex Stadium, a 66 minute strike from Alexandre Lacazette was the difference in a 1-0 win over the Seagulls.

2- Brighton 2 vs 1 Arsenal (20 June 2020)

Goals from Lewis Dunk and Neal Maupay proved crucial as the home side came from behind to beat the Gunners.

3- Brighton 1 vs 1 Arsenal (26 December 2018)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal a promising start, curling past Mat Ryan and into the far corner on seven minutes. But the lead only lasted 28 minutes as Jurgen Locadia restored parity to ensure a share of the points.

4- Brighton 2 vs 1 Arsenal (4 March 2018)

Two goals in the opening 26 minutes gave the Premier league debutants a 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

From the aforementioned statistics, one could see that Arsenal do not really have a good away record against the Seagulls having suffered two defeats and a draw in four meetings. Needful to say that Brighton have had a positive start this campaign and are currently leveled on 13 points with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton.

To this, Arsenal must tread carefully because inspite of their recent improvements, the Seagulls could still hurt them this weekend.
