Apparently, Barcelona have been gathering reinforcements to balance their squad ahead of next season, as they don't want to settle for second best in the league. And, Joan Laporta is hell-bent on restoring the club's lost glory, in Europe's top-5 leagues.

The Blaugranas will start their 2021-2022 campaign on August 15th, where they will clash against Real Sociedad at Camp Nou. Of course, the Dutch manager has got enough brilliant and talented players, to challenge their competitors in the league.

Meanwhile, there are three problems Ronald Koeman will have to solve before the commencement of next season, if he really wants to start flying from the beginning of the campaign. Without a doubt, failure to proffer a solution to these problems would hinder the team's success, in all competitions.

The LaLiga giant has signed four brilliant and experienced players this summer transfer window, as Lionel Messi is on the verge of renewing his contract until June 2026. Definitely, Barcelona are expected to dazzle flawlessly, excellently and outperform the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Here are 3 problems:

1. Starting Centre-back Pair

Obviously, there's no need for Koeman to keep rotating the defense setup, when he has already watched the players' abilities and capabilities during the pre-season. At the moment, Barcelona have 6 centre-backs (Eric Garcia, Gerard Piqué, Ronald Araujo, Samuel Umtiti, Óscar Mingueza, Clément Lenglet), and they all deserve to be in the starting XI. As a result, the coach has to pick out his standard pairing, so as to build the defense line. Actually, switching from one pairing to another may not work for Blaugranas next campaign. That's the number one problem the manager must solve. However, Piqué can not play all the matches due to his age (34), so the backline must be built without him to keep performing consistently.

2. Starting Attacking Trio

Here's another big problem for the Dutch gaffer, because he needs to select a winning front-three. Apparently, the Argentine will definitely sign his contract extension, so there will be 7 brilliant and talented forwards in the squad (Ousmane Dembélé, Memphis Depay, Sergio Agüero, Ansu Fati, Antoine Griezmann, Martin Braithwaite, Lionel Messi). Meanwhile, most fans predicted the frontline to be revolved around Deapy+Aguero+Messi, but things may not go as planned regarding the presence of other players. Without a doubt, the Barcelona's captain and the Dutchman are irreplaceable in the squad, as the manager believes in their abilities. In the midst of 7 dependable attackers, another problem for Koeman is to choose his winning and starting front-three.

3. Midfield Setup Without Pedri

Frankly, the Barcelona youngster will miss many games at the beginning of next season, mainly because of his participation in the European Championship. And, he's currently at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, which will finish on August 8th. He will definitely not be available throughout next month. Thus, Ronald needs to plan his midfield without him, even though he plays a massive role in the squad. However, his absence could give Riqui Puig and Ilaix Moriba chance to prove themselves, because Sergio Busquets and Frankie De Jong can not really control or dominate the midfield without a box-to-box footballer.

How do you think Ronald Koeman can solve these three problems?
