There are many ways to incorporate turmeric's healing properties into your beauty routine because it has both internal and external benefits.
1. Create your own radiant skin face mask with turmeric
2 tblsp flour, sifted If your skin is dry, you can use regular flour, rice flour, or ground oats.
3 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon turmeric Yogurt can also be used to treat acne.
A couple of drops of honey (any kind will work, but manuka is especially good for acne)
To make a paste, combine flour, turmeric, honey, and milk.
Apply a thin layer to your face and wait 20 minutes for it to dry.
Remove with a gentle scrubbing in the shower.
Use your favorite moisturizer to seal in the moisture.
Combine the skin brightening and lightening benefits of turmeric and lemon to make a hydrating face mask. B-vitamins, alpha hydroxy acids, calcium, and other powerful antioxidants are all found in milk.
a quarter-cup of lemon juice
milk (three tablespoons)
a quarter teaspoon of turmeric
Slowly combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Apply to your face and leave on for 10–20 minutes before rinsing.
3. Face Scrub with Turmeric
Turmeric's exfoliating properties and ability to help control skin's oil production make it ideal for acne-prone skin.
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
almond milk, 3 teaspoons
3 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
In a small mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients and stir to combine. Starting with your chin and moving upward in tiny circles, massage clean, moist skin with your fingertips. After rinsing, apply moisturizer.
4. Turmeric Face Mask for Tightening and Soothing
Turmeric reduces inflammation and itching, while raw honey and coconut milk tighten and brighten the skin.
12 teaspoons turmeric powder
1 tsp. organic raw honey
coconut milk, 1 tablespoon
In a small cup, whisk together the turmeric, honey, and milk. You want your mask to be a thin paste, so add more milk as needed until it reaches the desired consistency. Cleanse your face to remove dirt and makeup before applying. Apply the mask uniformly to the whole face, paying special attention to any inflamed regions. Allow 20 minutes for the mask to dry before rinsing with warm water. Rep as needed before the inflammation goes down.
5. Face mask with turmeric and chickpeas
Chickpeas, coconut, and cucumber, the three Cs in this mask, are all calming and therapeutic for our skin. You'll also benefit from turmeric's anti-inflammatory and brightening properties when you throw it in.
chickpea flour, 2 tablespoons (15 grams)
12 teaspoon unsweetened raw coconut milk
Cucumber juice, 1 teaspoon
a third of a teaspoon of turmeric
To make a paste, combine the flour, cucumber juice, coconut milk, and turmeric in a small cup. If the paste is too thin, you should add more flour. Apply the mask to your face in an even layer. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes, but not until the paste has dried. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. It creates two applications.
Using a cotton ball, apply apple cider vinegar to the skin and swipe it all over. Allow 5 minutes before applying the mask. Combine the turmeric powder and honey in a bowl. Apply the mask with clean hands, avoiding the eye region. Allow 15–20 minutes for the mask to set before rinsing with warm water. If the turmeric powder leaves a yellowish tint on your skin, go over it with a milk-soaked cotton ball. Twice a week, apply the mask.
7. ‘Face Lift' with Turmeric and Egg
1 yolk of an egg
1 tsp turmeric powder
