Esther Passaris, the Nairobi Woman Representative, is mourning the death of her father, who died at the age of 79.
"A part of me died today," Passaris wrote on social media on Friday. My father's agony came to an end when the heavens opened."
The politician recalled her father's accomplishments in life, remembering him as a hardworking guy who pioneered nation-building programs and made a difference in people's lives.
"As a naval architect, my father accomplished a lot in his 79 years. She wrote, "From building Kenya's first ship, the MV Mwewe, to coaching and mentoring the young men of Mombasa's Ngome Football Club."
"Dad worked for COMARCO, Southern Engineering Company Limited, before founding HELMACO, which he directed until his retirement."
According to Citizen tv The legislator expressed her profound thanks to her late father for leading a meaningful life and caring for his family, stating that it is for these reasons that she eulogizes him the most.
"However, none of his accomplishments compare to the family man he was; a wonderful spouse, an incredible father, and a doting Papou (grandfather)," she continued.
"God was his rock; gratitude was his attitude, and he prayed for protection for his family and country. It is good with my soul, even though I am devastated."
