Nigeria defender, Chidozie Collins Awaziem on Monday scored on his debut for Alanyaspor in 1-0 win home win over Giresun Spor, their second of the 2021-2022 Turkish Super Lig season.
The 24-year-old who joined the club on September 7 on loan from Boavista for the rest of the season, scored the decisive goal eight minutes into the game week 4 encounter at Bahçeşehir Okulları Stadyumu, Alanya.
The former FC Porto player was brought in to give the backline some stability after it conceded nine goals in theur previous two games, but he has added value to their attack by scoring his fourth club career goal, having previously netted twice for FC Porto II and once FC Nantes, where he played on loan from Porto in the 2017–2018 season.
Awaziem also previously played on loan at Çaykur Rizespor, Leganés and Boavista, who signed him on a four-year deal after distinguishing himself in 27 matches, helping the club beat the drop in the 2020-2021 Portuguese Primeira Liga season.
