‪APC Secretary, Bulama, Declares Giadom NEC meeting illegal

A lot has been happening in the leading All Progressive Congress (APC) lately, following the Oshiomole saga and his suspension as the chairman of the party by the high court. After Oshiomole's Suspension, the party has been having issues with regards who to become the party's acting chairman while Oshiomole is currently suspended. About Four acting chairman had emerged over this short period, but currently Mr. Victor Giadom is said to be the acting chairman.

In a recent report today 24 June 2020.‬ The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in person of Arch. Waziri Bulama, has come out to condemn the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party summoned by Mr. Victor Giadom and scheduled for Thursday and termed it illegal.

It can be recall that there was a report which says President Muhammadu Buhari had come out on Wednesday via a statement through his spokesperson Garba Shehu where he said to have thrown his weight behind Giadom as the acting national chairman of the party and proclaim his interest to attend the party's scheduled NEC meeting by Giadom on Thursday

In a statement on Wednesday, Bulama the party's secretary came out to debunk the statement that the President had declared his interest to attend the meeting, he said the President Muhammadu Buhari is known for insisting on compliance with party constitution and rule of law and will not support the convening of such an illegal NEC by a non-member of NWC.

In furtherance to that, Bulama called on all party members to disregard the invitation of Giadom because the author and sole signatory of the said invitation is not a member of the National Working Committee (NWC).

“We are constrained to once again react to a purported invitation to a National Executive Committee meeting of our great party; the All Progressives Congress (APC) issued by one Victor Giadom who until the last general elections in 2019 held the position of the Deputy National Secretary of the Party” Said Bulama.
