It was a sad moment for Sergio Aguero who was streched off due to a knee injury he sustained during a tackle from Ben Mee.
The ref blew for a penalty after the Burnley captain brought down the Argentine in the box.
Riyad Mahrez stepped up and scored to put three goals up.
Phil Foden and Mahrez scored twice and David Silva added the fifth as Pep Guardiola thrashed Burnley 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
After the game, Pep Guardiola revealed that Aguero knee injru wasn't good an needed immediate surgery.
It been confirmed that the Argentine had a successful surgery in Barcelona.
He took to his social media space to share the good news.
“Everything went well and I will soon start my recovery,” Aguero captioned with a phoyo from hospital bed.
“Thank you very much to Dr. Cugat and his team, and to everyone else for their support."
Although, we don't know how long he would be out for Manchester City, who still have a second leg clash with Real Madrid in the Champions League which kick off next month.
