NSMQ 2021: Outstanding Performance as Eight Schools Progress to the National Championship

The NSMQ Ashanti Regional Qualification started about two days ago. In Day One of the Ashanti Regional Qualification, four schools progressed to the National Championship. The schools include St. Louis SHS, Agogo State College, Ejisuman SHS and Adu Gyamfi SHS

Let us pick the Day Two of the Ashanti Regional Qualification. The Day Two set off today, Monday, May 24, 2021. After four (4) exciting contests, four schools emerged as winners in the various contests. Thus four (4) additional schools progressed to the Preliminary Stage of the national competition today.

The NSMQ Oti Regional Qualification also started today. A total of twelve (12) schools participated today in four (4) separate contests. At the end of Day One in the region, four (4) schools were able to secure a place in the Preliminary Stage of the national competition.

Eight (8) schools progressed to the Prelims of the National Championship today in the two regions of Ghana.

It is worth noting that one of the eight schools performed extraordinarily and hence deserves some applause for that. Adventist SHS, Bantama in the Ashanti Region managed to gain 63 maximum points at the end of the contest; last contest of Day Two in the Ashanti Region.

Below are the eight schools which have progressed to the Prelims from the two regions today

Ashanti Region

- Adventist SHS, Bantama – 63 points

- SDA, Agona – 43 points

- Toase SHS – 37 points

- Afua Kobi Ampem SHS – 34 points

Oti Region

- Krachi SHS – 25 points

- Kadjebi-Asato SHS – 25 points

- Bueman SHS – 22 points

- Nkwanta SHS – 16 points

There is a lot of work to be done by coordinators from the Oti Region looking at the scores obtained by the 4 qualified schools in the region.
