Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, former Nigerian President has gotten an international appointment.
Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has appointed Goodluck Jonathan as a special envoy to Mali to help bring peace to the political crisis going on in the country.
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is expected to discuss with the President of Mali, in person of Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and top religious leaders to solve the crisis.
Mali is in a political crisis as people have been protesting that President Ibrahim should step down from his position over the issues troubling the country and that his election into Presidency wasn't free and fair.
The other thing that is making the protesters angry is the ethnic and religious clashes happening in the country.
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has been considered a great peace maker after he didn't fight against the 2015 election result with the current Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.
