Wall geckos, which are replies similar to lizards, are usually seen in homes, usually crawling up ceilings, windows and walls. We often neglect these reptiles because we believe they are harmless. But they are harmful in many ways. When they fall into water or food, they poison it. This is because their bodies contain poisonous substances that can kill humans. A family had reportedly died from eating food a wall gecko fell into. When they lick exposed toothbrushes in the bathroom, they release toxins in their saliva, causing diseases in the mouth. Wall geckos can also crawl into kettles and poison the water. People are advised to get rid of these reptiles at home. I will be posting another article on how to get rid of geckos.
