Ford Kenya leader Moses Masika Wetangula was on cleared by IEBC to vie for the Bungoma Senatorial position in the forthcoming general elections. The Kenya Kwanza principal will be defending the seat under Ford Kenya party and the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Speaking to Nation media, Wetangula confirmed as to the reason why he opted to vie for the senatorial position despite the lucrative deal in the Kenya kwanza movement.
"Many people, especially the Azimio team, have been asking why I want to defend my seat yet we have shared the government nationally in Kenya kwanza. I want to say and repeat here again that am not looking for personal gain not personal aggrandizement," he said.
The Bungoma senator also confirmed that the Kenya kwanza government will 22 cabinet secretaries with both Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress having 3 seats each. The two parties will also be allocated positions as permanent secretaries, ambassadors and other top positions in government.
