Orlando Pirates in shock signing because of Mandla Ncikazi

Orlando Pirates are facing one of their worst seasons as they attempt to unseat Mamelodi Sundowns on the throne.

The Buccaneers were drubbed by Masandawa during their league encounter last weekend. But that did little under stopping them from reinforcing their squad.

The Bucs are believed to be on the case of Sifiso Mlungwana as they search for players who can give them good fortune.

According to Soccer Laduma, the Bucs are desperate to sign the 24 year old goalkepeer. Pirates current number one is Ghanaian international Richard Ofori.

While signing a goalkeeper can be seen as a positive move in Bucaneers standard but do they really need a goalie considering what they have at their disposal.

The Golden Arrows keeper was a key player for Mandla Ncikazi, who is now one of the coaches at Pirates. And his efforts have subsequently been recognised at national level, with Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos having included him in his provisional 34-man squad for the back-to-back 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia in October.

Broos, however, told Mlungwana to shed off some few kilograms if he wanted to play for the national team.
