Barcelona football club of Spain have reacted after their star player Ansu Fati was voted as the best player in the world, born on or before January 2002. The award was organized by goal.com for the young players who have been exceptional for their respective clubs.
The award is named NXGN by Goal, and Ansu Fati has defeated a lot of nominees to win the award after being voted the best teenage footballer on the planet, due to his outstanding performance for Ronald Koeman's Barcelona football club this season before being injured.
Not fewer than 44 Journalists voted to pick the best youngster among the nominees, but Ansu Fati was able to beat off strong competitions from the likes of Rennes football club of France star Edouard Camavinga, Borussia Dortmund football club of Germany youngster Gio Reyna who came second and third respectively.
Reacting after Ansu Fati beat other nominees to win the award, Barcelona posted on their verified Twitter handle to celebrate the youngster for the well deserved award.
