According to the tweet from @mperoreue1 this afternoon, the men of the Ifako Police Station were captured on camera while harassing citizens in Lagos.

“Today, 5 March 2021, and I was on my way to one Access Bank branch at Diya Street, Ifako-Gbagada, Lagos. And very close to Home Affairs Supermarket when I saw the men of the Ifako Police Station on mufti harassing this sibling and the bike man.

I saw one officer who sat on their bike smite them three times on the head. They tried to create a scene, but the officers quickly forced the siblings to enter their car and shut the doors!

And said, “YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO ARGUE WITH A POLICE OFFICER AND YOU WILL SUFFER,” and they drove off.

They are officers from the Ifako Police Station precisely.”

In my opinion, this is very unacceptable considering how the Nigerian youths demonstrated against police brutality last year.

As we all know, SARS has been dissolved as a unit of the Nigerian Police Force, so why should Nigerian police arrest citizens on mufti over an argument that ensued between them.

Do you think that the Nigerian Police on mufti should arrest citizens over an argument?
