HOWEVER.... There is another way that doesn't involve tons of labour and that is buying precooked items that will reduce the time spent in the kitchen and oven use.
Introducing, precooked Gammon! Its found widely in stores during the festive season and it's the best way to save time. Its already been smoked and cooked, it just needs that final touch.
• precooked gammon
• 1/2 cup of honey
• 2 tablespoon of brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons of black pepper
• 2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
• 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
• Precooked Gammon
• 1/2 cup of Apricot Jam
• 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
• 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon of chili flakes
• 2 teaspoons of black pepper
• Precooked Gammon
• 1/2 cup Molasses
• Set oven to 180°C ( or whatever temperature is on the pack)
• Carefully remove rubber layer of Gammon and make not too deep cuts diagonally into the fat layer
• For all three methods you heat all the ingredients save for the Gammon in a saucepan for five minutes then brush onto the ham, glazing every 5 minutes until warmed through in the oven and sticky sweet and gorgeous.
• Keep a watchful eye on it so as not to burn it!
•Serve immediately or at room temperature! I love it both ways!
Notes: you can dot the ham with cloves but it isn't necessarily a must! Personally I don't like the taste!
