NABTEB Releases Results Of 2020 Examination


NABTEB has released the results for 2020 Ordinary and Advanced level examinations.

A total of 25,844 examination candidates scored five credits and above with or without English and Mathematics, out of the 32,541 that write the exam last year.

This was confirmed by The National Business and Technical Examination Board Chief Executive Officer, Professor, Ifeoma Isiugo Abanihe, on Monday afternoon,

She also said that 21,175 candidates obtained five credits including English Language and mathematics respectively.

Ifeoma Isiugo said, “The business of conducting the national examinations is a challenging one last year. This performance is quite rewarding to school candidates and statistically similar to those of 2019 set. The board has continued to strengthen it quality assurance mechanisms to assure student with good education.

“It is gratifying that despite the ravaging effect of coronavirus pandemic which necessitated the postponement of 2020 certificate examinations, NABTEB was able to conduct the two exams from January 25 to Friday 19, 2021 successfully.

“I will like to use this great opportunity to remind everyone of the dire need for increased emphasis on "TVET" at all levels in the country. The principal objective of Technical and Vocational Education and Training is to train youths, preparing them to develop relevant skills needed for today’s labour market and for academic progression across the country.”
